For more than 20 years, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson, collectively known as the Backstreet Boys have been in the industry, selling more than 130 million records worldwide, making them the best-selling boy band in history, and one of the world's best-selling music artists.
They rose to fame with their debut album, Backstreet Boys in 1996 with major singles such as "I'll Never Break Your Heart" and "Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)." The following year, they released Backstreet's Back which was a huge success worldwide. They rose to superstardom with their third studio album Millennium in 1999 and its follow-up Black & Blue in 2000.
In 2005, Backstreet Boys released a comeback album Never Gone. Richardson left the group in 2006 to pursue other interests. After his departure, the group released Unbreakable in 2007 and This Is Us in 2009, as a quartet.
Richardson rejoined the group and in 2013, Backstreet Boys released In a World Like This, which debuted at #5 on the US Billboard 200, making them the first group since Sade to have nine US top 10 albums, and the only boy band to do so.
